What is the difference between Limit, Pot Limit, and No Limit games?
Limit
In Limit games, players must always bet in pre-set amounts. The amount doubles on the last 2 rounds of betting. For instance, in a Limit game with blinds of 5/10, players can only bet $10 each time they bet for the first 2 rounds of betting and $20 each time they bet for the last 2 rounds of betting.
Pot Limit
In Pot Limit games, players may bet any amount that they wish - anywhere from the minimum bet based on the table stakes, all of the way up to the amount of money in the pot.
No Limit
In No Limit games, players may bet any amount that they wish - anywhere from the minimum bet based on the table stakes, all of the way up to the total amount of money they have at the table. No Limit games are the signiture type poker played in the WPT.
How many players are at a table?
There can be up to 6 players at any table. If you are playing a live multiplayer game, the number of players at the table at any given time will depend on the number of players that enter your room. If you are playing a private multiplayer game, then the number of players at the table will depend on how many friends you invited. In Scenario Mode, tournaments will always start out 6-handed, but in single-player Free Play mode, you can choose to play against the number of players you want - you can even go heads-up against just one other player.
Can I play heads-up games in World Poker Tour® Texas Hold 'Em 2?
Yes, there are a number of different ways to play a heads-up game in Texas Hold 'Em 2. You can create your own custom heads-up table in Free Play mode by setting the number of players to "2" in the game options. If you are in a tournament and make it to the final 2 players, you will compete for the tournament win in a heads-up battle. Finally, if you have the "Last Man Standing" option set to ON in Free Play mode and are one of the final 2 players standing, you will play in a heads-up game until only one player is left.
